We jumped into the water…

and nothing happened
Until we moved
And suddenly—light

It reminded me how often I wait
for God to act in my life
while staying still
.
But faith isn’t passive
It’s movement
.
It’s choosing gratitude
over murmuring
.
It’s trusting when you only
hold one puzzle piece
.
He is the vine
We are the branches
.
And when we stay connected—
we don’t just survive,
we bear fruit.
.
Your life isn’t barren.
It’s becoming 🌿

I’ve been thinking
about hope this week—
.
Not just as a feeling
but as something you put on
.
Like a helmet
Protecting your thoughts
.
Because what you think
shapes everything
.
And hope isn’t small
.
It’s a perfect brightness—
the kind of light
that actually pushes out darkness
.
Rahab had that kind of hope.
A simple scarlet cord…
but it meant
“I trust God will save me.”
.
He watched over her
.
And He will watch over You 
.
Cause that’s what hope is
.
choosing light
even before you see
how it all works out
 
 

Today on enLIGHTen gathering with Alison Goff, we talked about what it really means to feast on the word— . Not just read it, not just check a box, but to actually taste it… to let it become something “delicious” to our souls . We kept coming back to the story on the road to Emmaus (see Gospel of Luke 24)… when the disciples said, “Abide with us.” Or in other words—stay… tarry with us. . I’ve been thinking about that a lot. What if our homes… our conversations… our lives… became places where He would want to tarry?  Where we talk of Him. Where we share what we’re learning. Where the Spirit is felt so naturally that, like so many of you said today— “Jesus draws near when we speak of Him.” That’s what this gathering felt like. Not just a discussion… but a table A feast A place where we were fed and enlightened together .

Easter feels like the first sign of spring.
Like light after a long winter.
Like hope quietly rising again.

about the resurrection—
not as wishful thinking,
but as the truest source
of hope we have
.
Because Jesus rose,
we can trust that
life will come again
.
That sorrow is not the end
.
That what feels silent, buried,
or unfinished now
will not stay that way forever
.
Easter reminds us that
resurrection is not only
something we celebrate—
it is something we live by
.
He is risen
.
Truly He is risen
.
And because He lives
we have reason to HOPE. 🤍

Sometimes we wait to offer the Lord something more polished . A stronger testimony A clearer gift A more eloquent voice A more “ready” version of ourselves . But today with my sweet guest Jenny Guthrie, we talked about how the Lord has always worked with loaves and fishes … small offerings… imperfect efforts… willing hearts. . And somehow, in His hands, they become enough . We talked about Elder Renlund’s beautiful reminder that taking upon us the names of Jesus Christ can sometimes feel a little abstract at first . But one of His names that especially stayed with us is “The Word.” And that means something deeply personal: . When we engage with the word of God, we are not just checking a box , Not just reading pages Not just trying to be “good” . We are actually coming to know Him Receiving Him. Becoming more like Him . Maybe the offering you bring today feels small Maybe it feels unfinished Maybe it feels unpolished . Bring it anyway . He will help you nourish, grow and illuminate what is offered in faith. ✨ #enLIGHTenGathering #JesusChrist #TheWord #ComeUntoChrist

This week's enLIGHTen felt like a quiet reminder of something my heart needed 🤍. That becoming isn’t loud… it’s not instant… and it’s not meant to be perfect. With my good friends Gracie Ketchum & Gentry Katseanes, we talked about what it really means to overcome through Christ. Not all at once not with full understanding but step by step… with Him. Even when it’s slow even when it’s confusing even when it’s hard. He is still there He is still working He is still shaping who we’re becoming. And something I can’t stop thinking about— We were never meant to do this alone. When we choose charity when we cheer each other on we invite more light into everyone’s journey… including our own ✨. He doesn’t ask us to understand everything just to trust Him enough to keep going 🤍

• noticing small spiritual impressions
• writing down moments when we feel God close
• acting on the light we’ve already received
• sharing that light with others

The more we work at recognizing these moments,
the more we begin to see that God’s
light has been with us all along
.
And we find ourselves
Drawn more and more
To that light ✨

New beginnings are closer than we think
.
Sometimes they don’t come with a big moment
or a dramatic change
.
Sometimes they begin quietly
when we simply turn our minds toward God
.
Elder Patrick Kearon reminds us that
because of Jesus Christ
beginning again is always possible
.
Like the first hint of spring
light returning
Life returning
Hope returning
.
And suddenly
the story isn’t over
.
It’s beginning again
with more joy than ever
 

Some days parenting feels like planting seeds...in winter. You pray. You teach. You sing. And nothing blooms. At least not yet…This week with @chelsba and @well.with.anna we talked about:-Loving children who don’t always respond.-Praying for them and with them.-Teaching the doctrine of Christ through simple, Spirit-led moments.
President Henry B. Eyring reminded us that God magnifies small, faithful efforts in the home. And Tracy Y. Browning taught that Primary music can anchor truth deep in a child’s heart.
Persistence in prayer.Persistence in love.Persistence in praise.
These are the light calling forth growth even when you can’t see it.Keep planting. 🤍
